Admission: £5.00

Time: 8.00 p.m.

Location: Saint James' Rooms

The Who? No, not The Who, the Valley Band ! Never heard of them? Yes you have - only they change their name about as frequently as Hugo changes his underwear, which, frankly, is not very often. But you might remember them under their recent name of Los Piranhas….. or as Common Ground ….? They blew us away last year with their guest night (some highlights are on our YouTube channel) and we just booked them again straight away! Folk from all genres on melodeon, guitar, keyboard, piano accordion and fiddle. And they have great fun as well which is infectious. Mind you, so is Diphtheria. Don’t miss them!

We are proud to present the live concert to end all live concerts this month as part of the Wath May Festival. Hosting their prestigious Saturday Night Concert, this year Raising the Rafters are proud to present not one, but two amazing bands……
JACKS RAKE is a five piece band of multi instrumentalists playing high octane music with a strong Irish influence. They last appeared at Rafters in November 2025 and utterly blew us away - you can see a clip of one of their numbers on our You Tube Channel. This alone would be a night to remember …… but there’s more …..
THE HUNCH are five musicians at the top of their game ….. seasoned musicians with years of experience from such well known bands as Kitsyke Will, Hedgehog Pie and The Mighty Doonans.
Featuring MICK DOONAN, BOB THOMAS, CHRIS HANKS, TONY BACON and MARCUS FROST they headlined our last Festival Concert in 2025 and we were besieged with requests to being them back…… so here they are……. you can’t get enough of a good thing.
